The primary motivation for publishing in the scientific journal is to disseminate the state-of-the-art advances in the development and modelling of manufacturing technologies and machine design. This special issue of Acta Physica Polonica A features original research papers presented and discussed by an international group of participants at the 30th International Slovak–Polish Scientific Conference on Machine Modelling and Simulations. The collected contributions address the analysis of physical phenomena underpinning technological processes and materials engineering. Since its inception in 1995, the Conference has been held annually through the joint efforts of scientific communities, primarily from Slovakia and Poland.

This issue provides a comprehensive examination of applied physics in the context of contemporary mechanical engineering. Machine modelling and simulation rely on physical, mathematical, and logical representations of real devices and processes, forming the basis for computational analyses that yield data essential for informed technical decision-making across a wide range of scientific and industrial domains. Each manuscript offers an in-depth account of the phenomena investigated, with a particular emphasis on advanced industrial, automotive, and renewable energy technologies.

This issue comprises 11 original research papers selected from the works presented at the Conference. The editors extend their sincere gratitude to all authors for their valuable contributions, which have significantly enhanced the quality and impact of this special issue.
